So 2009 dawns and new beginnings are promised. Then of course one starts on the path of that new beginning and is in caught up in the rapture of it all. Then, slowly at first the, the gush of enthusiasm recedes. It is microscopic and shouts of "not me" & " I never quit" get some souls back on track for a short while. Most waste away after a very short while. Take gym's for example. Most join with good intentions. Shed some pounds and get in shape. Very noble. But first and very important is the workout clothes. We must have the right "names". Lots of money is spent and on feels a sense of accomplishment. However the bank account is the only thing getting a work out.
Finally the day comes to enter the gym. We enter the gym and feel a bit awkward but a sense of ownership propels us through the regimes.
Then the early mornings get to us.
Excuses rear their ugly head.
Oops made a lunch date when Im supposed to be working out (and will eat more calories at one sitting than all week!)
I know, Ive been there and I feel the same about bikes. After selling the project CX 500, I am again bikeless but... New beginnings, New beginnings.
