Summer Solstice Ride.

Rule number one, the Summer Solstice ride cant be on the actual longest day. Also one must pop some type of cork constrained beverage at the end of the ride. It's all part of being a good Relic. Thanks J good one.
Jake and I were able to "let loose the hounds" last Tuesday night. Good fortune shone down (and babies were placed in beds). We had been granted a 3 hr pass for fun and stupidity. We took it!
Ride was BH to Luskville via Mountain rd. I on my trusty Zombie Apocolyto machine, Jake on the brick. When we arrived (you know you've arrived when the twisties turn to straights) Jake asked if I was ready to handle the raw power of the Bayerischer Ziegelstein. I jumped at the chance. I did tell him I would take it easy (well for 15 minutes J.) Just to get used to the forward positioning.
We rode to Chelsea, decided that the night was still young and needn't bother stopping at out local Chelsea locale.
I mentioned Wakefield..
The ride continued, for as far as the 105 cutoff. Thats when the wonderful site of orange beacons stopped our forward progress. Orange being the colour of summer (and construction). A quick decision to find a nice straight piece of asphalt to let the horses wander was opted. 417 to the Anderson ramp here we come...
Traffic was light and conditions were good.
Hmmmmmm....
Suffice it to say that the 20 something year old K had some legs. When the go juice was cut, the Zombie machine thumped 'round. Nothing sounds like a 650 single to cut through the haze at velocity.
The ride was capped off with a tasty "Fin de la Monde" and promises of more to come (rides that is)..

Well beer too!
