Meech with an Airhead

So the wacky back has taken a break and all feels swell, kinda.
I think it may have been the loan of a certain R65 that remedied that ailment, motorcycles and the placebo effect.. It could be marketable!
By hook or crook, it is my quest to get in the saddle of a German twin. And so I did thanks to fellow Relic who disappeared to the big smoke for the weekend. It was me myself and I cruising the crappy asphalt surrounding that so famous of lakes- Meech.
Sunday broke overcast and stayed that way for most of the morning. I headed out expecting rain at around 9 AM. I wanted to do the Parkway up in the Gatineau's but lo, I forgot that the parkway is closed to petrolheads and open only to cycling types. I should have remembered that 'cause I spent many hours lathering up the sweat glands toiling through the gears. Something I seriously need to get back to.
However this was a day devoted to borrowed bikes. My impression? Nice. Comfortable and I love the torque lift of the shaft. However it is nice to have some saddle time to work out the "knacks" of older bikes. You know, up close and personal. I found running through the gears in town a tad clunky but after the hills wee twisties I had the tranny dialed in. All in all it was worth a mint just to get the feel of an airhead. My verdict... I need two bikes now...
Thanks Jake!
