Boxer update

So the bike came back from Jesse all tuned and safetied. Carbs had some diaphragms changed out, all fluids changed (Oil- motor and tranny, shaft drive fluid, final drive fluid, front brake fluid and front fork fluid).
Gas lines were ORIGINAL so they went in the bin. New fork seals, carbs sync'd and safetied for the road.
I noticed better idle and roll on at highway speeds.
The brakes were spongy and I called Jesse on it. He said they felt normal. I heard that the /7 style bikes were the first to get disc for the front and the were crap. I noticed a slight stickiness to the discs and cleaned them with solvent (fork oil from weeping seals). Brakes were a bit better.
Last night I was able to detail the bike and cleaned loads of road grime off of it. Not bad for a 1978 bike! The engine cases were wiped down and all the fuel system was cleaned off (The petcocks and carbs had old gas gum on them). I wiped down the frame and swing arm, forks and anything else I could get my hands on.
So she is ready for the roads. I just have to find the time to ride!!
