Sold to a lovely lady in Napanee. Her 1st bike and I think she'll be happy. On another note, got back from Lake George "Americade" last week. 950 Kilometers in 3 days (1 day off to tour and buy stuff) Stayed at a neat little resort on the lake within walking distance to all the watering and feeding holes. The ride down was great. 8 hrs and lots of twists and turns, with sunny rays to show us the way. We had a spanking brand new Harley Electra-glide, and older Electra, 97 Harley, a Yamaha star 1700, and two Triumph Bonnies in matching trim. No one experienced any trouble on the way down but the way back had one Triumph experience a loose throttle cable. 3 minute road side fix and we were good as gold! Hey what's a motorbike tour without a Triumph breaking down??
Gas was around 4.19$ a gallon an I guess I spent 46$ on fuel for the trip. Not too bad. We cruised at 100-120 all the way and ripped it open on Tracy road.
The Expo was nice with lots of doodads for sale. I scored a Tour Master tank bag while others bought shiny metal pieces to bolt on to their bikes.
I along with our other Triumph supporter Mark test rode two Harley models. I don't know what his first model was but I had some sort of Lazy Boy with a ticking valve. Not too fun. My second bike was a Dyna Low Bob. Yeah baby... 100mph in a t-shirt on slick American asphalt. Mark was on some kinda Screaming Eagle kited out Harley that cost 25K. Free bikes, free gas and free to just ride them without prying eyes (or tour masters to tell us where to go). It was shits and giggles for the rest of the day.
2nd installation to follow.
