So I am here to post the pics of the recent upgrades. I needed to focus on what was needed. I didn't have hand guards, so I purchased a serious pair with an aluminum rib and a nice big plastic apron. Maier units from the States. 

I also purchased an aluminum skid plate to guard the underbelly. The plastic stock unit wouldn't put up with the shit I plan to throw at it. As I previously mentioned it took 2 hrs to instal. I was screwing around of course. The radio station fades out (dropped the boom box which destroyed the antenna), got tools set up, forgot things, and of course found other things to do.. Damn A.D.D.

The instal went well. an hour and a bit for the handle bars and the rest for the plate. The handle bars were a bit of a muddlephuq but I didnt have to cut things. The belly pan went well but had to use my feet to support it. The tunes helped out as I got a lot of Sum 41 and Teagan and Sara. All I needed was a scotch and cigar to finish off the day but had to let that fall by the wayside as I had diapers to change (all night).

Now for the downside. I decided to shop Canadian. I found a great place with close to American prices. So I went ahead and bought. Took 2 days to arrive. Fantastic! I then went back online to look at the other farkles I could get and found my skid plate for 25$ less than what I paid at the same place! It was posted 2 days, 2 fucking days after I placed my order. I got in contact of course and said "hey lets get real" I would have waited the 2 days to save the $$ and I think they knew that this particular unit was going on sale. Had this been any other store I would have went back and said "hey!" 90% of the time it would be fixed.. I also mentioned that there is a good chance that my future purchases would have been close to 1k$. I havent heard a word. I am not mentioning names so as to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hey fix me up and we are off to the races. Ill be pleased as punch to hand over $. If nothing else is done. Fuck it, Ill save money and go through somewhere else and let my fellow KLR'istas know. Hey if you want to jettison customers in this economic shit storm then suck it up. And yeah, I know it's only 25$ but thats not the point. It's about respect.
