Time to get back on the blogging horse!

We are into winter now. However we are presently sitting at 5c. I thing Europe has taken our winter from us.
On the bike front. I hosted a ride report last night. Bruce and his bro swung by with a couple hundred pics and a full tour report from their trip to Peru this fall. 8 lads in attendance with the group heavy with KLR riders. Glenlivet 15yr made an appearance as wel as fine foods from Jake.. Great time and thanks to all who showed up.
The R is resting with the coffee. I have to change the oil sooner or later. Perhaps during this warm spell. Charge the battery again and do what shoulda been done in October.
I have a Kawi Ltd 440 under the chopping block right now. I cleaned up the carburettors and have to install them to see if this beast runs. They were clogged bad. If this was the issue then she should run. I may keep it as a bomber as all the paper work is on order.
So..
What next...
What bike will join the fray. Well here is what I want. I want to keep the R as it is special.
I want a bike I can use in the winter, a bike that can introduce the boys to the joys of 2 wheels, a bike with a military heritage of toughness and durability and history. Hmmm, well first off I am not Jay Leno so owning a real BMW R75 or Zundapp KS 750 (say 50.000 to 100.000$) is out of the question.. So we come back to URAL..
or
Build one myself.. Yeah thats it... No not really.
Ural it is... Now to find a sweet deal.
Keep in touch!
