Back!

November chill is in the air.. Time to put the bikes away? Well if you dont have a running one that question is moot.
I sold the Triumph 2 months ago. Needed to clear the air and bank accounts. It was sad to see go but was time to move on. A really used 82 CX 500 now sits in the garage awaiting attention. It'll have to wait (did I mention it was really used!!?) as el bambino will be making his/her grand debut in 3 weeks time..
I did manage to get a Yamaha BWS 125 scooter from CMG to flog around Ottawa. 400 Kilometers and 9$ in gas gave some impressions and will be related here next week.
On another front involving 2 wheels, I'm in the market for another bicycle. I have done a nasty to my commuter "Mongoose" as it seems as I was just riding along when a log came out of nowhere and slammed my derailleur up and around my rear cog set. Easy fix- just swap out a new unit.. Well I did that only to notice the frame was bent. I realigned the frame using high tech methods and got the derailleur to work on most of the gears. More tuning is in order but it got me thinking that a newer bike would help alleviate the abuse one bike could take. You know, spread the pain to lessen the ill effect. As I may have mentioned earlier, I sold the full Carbon bike as it wasn't getting used. I think I could use a bike more in line with my needs and have decided that a Cyclecross bike fits the bill. Again.. More to follow!
