We take NY and VT! This trip has been talked about for quite awhile.. The trigger was finally pulled this past weekend. The Relics had a wonderful 3 day romp through the Adirondack Mountains. 2 bikes with 55 yrs of life between them. 921 kilometers with the bulk done on Saturday. The weather was spot as the sun shone for 99% of our Saturday ride. We flirted with rain on Sunday but it was just that, a wee tickle.
I wont put in a full ride report yet however the riding was spectacular. Rt 6 in NY was a standout as we had already had been on the bikes for about 8 1/2 hrs that day. We were getting tired and run down when this glorious ribbon of asphalt revealed itself. We ran it 3 times (and filled our water bottles with roadside spring water at Moriah).
Thats the riding part. The food and accomodation could be a whole other report..
