Summers busy days.

Whats new on the bike front? Well I was delivering coffee to a downtown location when I decided to pop 'round to get a part at a local shop. I bought the part (which I didnt really need- more later) and then the mechanic came out and heard my bike run. It idles rough and I wanted it looked into. He looked into it and adjusted the carb by ear.. Bad idea.. Bike stopped running. I had to leave it there after riding away and pushing it back when it refused to run. It had to sit at that shop for 2.5 weeks as my trailer was on a tour of northern Ontario (more as well on that note).
So a colleague from work and I took his truck to get the bike. I got it home and reset the carb setting to factory specs. Funny thing. The bike runs fine now. Even idles normallly. Crazy! Lots of charater. Ill have to do some digging to make sure that issue doesnt crop up again.
As for the part I didnt need. Jake found a full fledged running bike, identical to his R65 with a mass of parts. The part I needed was in a wheel. So I now have a new axel bushing and an old one as spares.
As for the trailer. It was leant out as promised, however the lad who borrowed it has struck gold. His father decided to clean up the garage. In that garage is a 1980 Kawi 440 LTD. It ran when it went away. It needs to go now as space in his fathers garage is liberated for more stuff.. I need a project so it's going to grace the shed for the next little while. Im hoping to parlay that aquisition into a sidecar! Stay tuned!
